五月十日 復活期第五主日,母親節
- 悼念陶德言法政牧師息努歸主
- 謹以沉重的心情向大家報告一個令人悲傷的消息，我們敬愛的陶德言法政牧師在星期六約下午五時，在醫院就醫期間，受新型冠狀病毒誘發致病情複雜化而與世長辭。離流期間，珍妮主教通過電話為他祈禱。願陶法政牧師靈魂得安息！請為他的遺孀ＬＯＲＩ–ＡＮＮＥ師母—陶樂恩教授及家屬們祈禱，願主安慰他們！
- 師母告知我們說，基於此不確定的時期，陶法政牧師的遺體是會被即時火化，待我們可以聚集的時候，教會便安排隆重的告別禮儀，是會充滿音樂元素的。師母感謝不辭辛勞的醫護們，他們令陶法政牧師舒適地渡過住院的日子，尤其最後這兩個月時日。她亦感謝每位以祈禱來支持他們的人。
- 本週日（五月十日）本應是陶法政牧師晉秩封職卅五週年紀念的日子；他曾在Orillia的聖雅各堂事奉作助理牧師，然後在士加堡的St. Giles和Don Mills的Church of Our Saviour都事奉過；他是一個時常關愛別人的牧師，他熱愛傳道和主持聖餐禮。William, Joanne, Christopher和David是他的下一輩，陶法政牧師與他們很多時一起惡作劇；Noelle, Max和Charlotte是他的再下一輩；他是Derek, Rob和Jenny的brother-in-law；Doris和Earl是他的岳母和岳父。
- 陶法政牧師從二零一五年已擔任頌主堂的榮譽助理牧師，在這牧區熱心服事，非常照顧教友，尤其是英語堂；我們總是記得他富啟發性的信息，鼓舞人的招呼話語，有趣又有魔術輔佐的兒童講道，他的委身和滿有愛心地服事上帝又能帶歡樂給所有人。
- 「St. E Together in Spirit」英語堂每星期出版一次新的電郵通訊
- 五月廿四日嘗試採用ＺＯＯＭ進行虛擬英語崇拜
- 我們決定嘗試在五月廿四日的主日崇拜採用ＺＯＯＭ進行虛擬英語早禱崇拜，當天早上十時候開始讓參加者進入﹐十時十五分正式開始約半小時的早禱崇拜。這是我們的首次簡單的崇拜嘗試，Jim法政牧師會在其中講道，有會友帶領祈禱和讀經課。

- 請各教友抽空為我們的教會今年第一次的清除雜草和整理花圃。如果情況許可，請自攜園藝工具。有意者請聯絡司徒博恩（Paul Seto ）或電郵info@stechurch.com。我們將為每一個家庭安排一個時段，以遵守社會隔離限制。

- 聖公會多倫多教區每年的信心工作籌募運動，是為提供關懷與希望的社會服務事工而設，在這疫症漫延之際，對這方面的支持尤其重要，為此，有善長承諾以一對一的比例，捐出「信心工作」在本年底前所籌得的款項（以十萬元為限）。
- 頌主堂以往都有參與「信心工作」籌募運動，在此緊張時刻，決定響應「信心工作」之緊急呼籲，發起教友為「信心工作」籌募作出特別捐獻，捐款可以在頌主堂網頁捐獻網址https://www.stechurch.com/donate 進行，捐款項目請選擇「其他ＯＴＨＥＲ」並註明「信心工作」我們希望在五月底將籌集得的款項轉交教區「信心工作」，如想對「信心工作」加深了解及他們現在有什麼特別急切的需要，請到「信心工作」的網站查閱 faithworks.ca。

May 10, 2020 5th Sunday of Easter & Mother’s Day
- Condolences for the passing of Rev. Canon Dennis Dolloff
- It is with a heavy heart to inform you that Rev. Canon Dennis Dolloff passed away around 5pm Saturday evening due to complications from COVID-19. He received prayer from Bishop Jenny Andison over the phone prior to his death. May he rest in peace and rise in glory. Please pray for Lori-Anne Dolloff, his widow and the family. May they be comforted.
- Lori has informed us that due to these precarious times, there will be immediate cremation, and when we can gather again, there be huge church celebration with much music and liturgy. She gives her thanks to the nurses who toiled to keep him comfortable, especially in these last 2 months and for the prayers and support from everyone.
- Today (Sunday May 10) would have been the 35th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. He ministered at St. James, Orillia as curate, St. Giles, Scarborough, and the Church of Our Saviour, Don Mills. He has been such loving and caring pastor, loved preaching and presiding at the altar. He was the crazy Uncle to William, Joanne, Christopher and David, often leading them into mischief. Great Uncle to Noelle, Max and Charlotte. Brother-in-law to Derek, Rob and Jenny, son-in-law to Doris and Earl.
- Rev. Canon Dennis Dolloff has been St. Elizabeth's Honorary Pastoral Assistant since 2015, where he served passionately to minister to all our parishioners, particularly those in our English ministry. We will always remember him for his inspiring messages, cheerful greetings, fun and magical children's talks, his dedication and love to serving God and bringing joy to all.
- "St. E Together in Spirit" New Weekly Email for English Congregation
- English Ministry will be starting a weekly newsletter to our English members to help connect us all more closely and to provide additional spiritual support. If you wish you to receive this please contact english@stechurch.com
- Virtual English Worship May 24 on Zoom
- We are planning to try doing English worship together through Zoom on Sun. May 24 10am meeting will open and 10:15am service will begin and will likely be around 30 min in length. This will be a first time for us so it will be a simple morning prayer with Fr. Jim giving the sermon and worship leader doing the readings and prayers.
- More details will be provided later through email or refer to our Services webpage on May 24. Please mark your calendars.

- Please pray for our future Priest-in-Charge, Pastor Maria Ling and her family as they prepare in the coming months to serve at St. E. Also, pray for our parishioners and ministry leaders for guidance, patience and wisdom as we prepare for the transition
- Church Gardening
- We are looking for your help in cleaning up our church garden. Please contact Paul Seto or email info@stechurch.com to sign up. In following with the social distancing restrictions, we will be scheduling one family in each time slot. If you have gardening tools at home, please help us out by bringing your own.

- The Parish Advisory Board will hold a virtual meeting through Zoom on Sat. May 23 beginning at 10am.
- FaithWorks Special Donation
- FaithWorks is the annual appeal of the Anglican Diocese of Toronto building communities of compassion and hope. Particularly during this pandemic, there is an increased need at FaithWorks for special donations. Currently, FaithWorks has a donor who has offered a $100,000 matching challenge for all new or increased donations in 2020.
- We at St. E would like to contribute in helping this worthwhile ministry as we do each year in seeking special donations from our parishioners. If you wish to donate to support this fund, you can also do so through our online donation form: https://www.stechurch.com/donate . Please select Fund type as "Other" and enter "FaithWorks" in the message specify to donate to this fund. We plan to make our next remittance of donations to FaithWorks at the end of May.
- Please go to their website www.faithworks.ca and click on 'How will my gift be used' to see which ministries are closest to you so that you may contact them directly and find out what their immediate needs may be. It could be thermometers, take-out containers or someone to sew masks.
- St. E's Love and Care Fund
- While we are in this troubling time, we understand that you may be facing different challenges. If you are experiencing difficulties which could be helped with some financial support, we want to remind you of the availability of St. E's "Love and Care Fund". This is open to application for our members (please see attached for application).
- Please email info@stechurch.com application submission or for further inquiries or assistance.
- We are thankful to have received donations in the past to this fund to help those in need.
